Cookies & storage

What your browser remembers when you use Kynro.

Draft updated October 1, 2026

Keeping you signed in

Kynro uses Supabase authentication. Its browser client saves session information in localStorage so your session can persist and refresh. Treat a signed-in device as access to your private workspace. Sign out when using a shared device.

Your saved family history

The current app saves family workspace data and uploaded files in Supabase, rather than writing family data to localStorage or IndexedDB. Earlier device-only versions may have left trees on your device. Importing or erasing cloud data does not automatically remove those older local copies.

Advertising and analytics

The current application code does not add advertising cookies or third-party analytics SDKs. Hosting and authentication providers may process technical request and security information as described in the Privacy policy. This notice should be reviewed if optional tracking is introduced.

Your browser controls

You can remove site storage through your browser’s settings. Clearing it may sign you out and can delete older device-only trees; export anything you want to keep first. Clearing browser storage does not erase your cloud workspace. Blocking browser storage may prevent sign-in from working correctly.
